Unfortunately, while the maximum acceptable value of this rate is 10%, the rate of water leakage and losses in Turkey is 35% according to the latest official data (TUIK), and 50% according to the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs.
By preventing water loss and preventing leaks, not only will our valuable natural resources be saved, but it will also make it possible to reach more users with clean drinking and utility water.
I think that the clean water losses caused by hemodialysis water treatment systems are not known enough by the public.
With our voice being heard, the measures to be taken institutionally in this area will accelerate the efforts to save money in hemodialysis centers.The loss of clean water will be prevented twice a year (with the maximum occupancy rate) of the Gediz Demirköprü Dam.
With the announcement of new information to the public, our work will bring a new awareness to the prevention of clean water loss, and approximately 2.5 million cubic meters of clean water originating from hemodialysis water treatment systems will be prevented from going to the sewerage in our country.
